Problems
Problem OneA problem that affects many populations is the exposure to contaminated groundwater can be linked to medical illness, which is why containment and cleanup is so important. The principle threat to human health is the consumption of toxins that pollute fresh groundwater. There are also ongoing investigations at a local, state, and the federal level of exposed private wells. For some these wells are the only local source of water. Unfortunately not all residents or government official cooperate with the communities to discover and resolve many poisonous drinking water conditions. The illnesses from contaminated groundwater that some people drink can lead to cancer, organ failure and other sickness.

Problem TwoGround water’s contamination from industrial dumping and poor management of processing waste products is impacting the environment where we live, nature’s wildlife. Large companies have been found improperly discharging contaminated groundwater into rivers and streams. Waste products from power plants are responsible for pollution because of broken or corroded pipes burst and spill toxic coal combustion wastes into the water. The more negative attention that big corporation’s chemical and organic pollutants receive can be the reason people get motivated to take action and raise awareness of these horrible consequences that people are enduring.
